State Route 37 crossing the North Bay wetlands

Fix 37.
We’re just getting started.

We’re a coalition of commuters and North Bay neighbors working to make State Route 37 safer, more reliable, and ready for what’s ahead. The funding for the first fix is approved. Now we keep the momentum going.

What we stand for

For too long, State Route 37 has been the road North Bay families count on and the one they can’t count on. It stalls. It floods. And every year, the wait for a real fix gets a little longer.

We came together to change that. The Fix 37 Coalition brings commuters, working families, labor, business, and environmental partners behind one simple idea: fixes we can build now, not decades from now.

This year, that work paid off. The state approved the funding to build the first fix, lengthening the bridge at Tolay Creek to get traffic moving and restore the Bay’s wetlands. It’s a real win. And it’s just the first piece.

There’s still more of 37 to fix, and we’re staying at it until the whole corridor works for the people who depend on it.

What drives us

Fixes We Can Build Now

We back near-term, shovel-ready solutions that deliver relief in years, not decades. Every delay pushes back relief for commuters and restoration for the Bay.

Reliable Commutes and Equity

70% of the people who drive this corridor earn below the Bay Area median income. Fixing 37 gives working families their time back, more than 1.5 hours a day.

Good Jobs, Stronger Economy

Fixing 37 puts California's skilled trades to work, backed by 70,000 union workers and nearly 2,000 employers through the California Alliance for Jobs.

Climate Resilience

A fixed 37 protects a flood-prone highway and restores the Bay's tidal wetlands. Good jobs and real climate progress from the same shovel.

What’s next

The first fix is funded, but the job isn’t finished. More improvements to State Route 37 are coming, and so are more chances to get involved: sending letters, giving public testimony, and showing up when it counts. When there’s a moment where your voice makes the difference, we’ll make sure you know about it.
